David was born on June 22, 1949 in Worth, WV to the late Earl Bailey (Deceased) and Ann Barber-Bailey (Deceased). He had been a resident of Bluefield for twenty three years and had resided in McDowell County, for the past three years. David was a former volunteer at the Bluefield Union Mission and has won several gold medals in the Special Olympics for bowling.
He is survived by his two brothers Paul Bailey of Worth, WV and Michael E. Bailey of Elkhorn, WV.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, WV with Rev. Paul Wheeler officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV
