Services for Alexander "Alex" Baggenstoss, 101, Albany, were Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Baggenstoss died Monday, Nov. 23, at St. Cloud Hospital.
He was born Aug. 14, 1880 in Albany to the late Jacob and Rose Baggenstoss. He married Gertrude Madden and the couple farmed in the Albany area.
Survivors include sons and daughters, Vernon, Louis and Gradon, Albany; Mrs. Donald (Erna) Davis and Mrs. Donald (Daisy) Donkers, Faribault; Harold, Bemidji; Alvin, Minneapolis; Mrs. Russell (June) Everson, Believe, Wash.; Gordon, Portland, Ore.; Lloyd, Atlantic, Iowa; 40 grandchildren; and 49 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in Nov. 1970, one son, five sisters and four brothers.

They were married on June 12, 1907 in the Ebenezer Evangelical Lutheran Church, Albany, Minnesota. According to the church records, the witnesses were Martha Baggenstoss, Wilhelm Christen, Wilhelm Baggenstoss, and Barbara Lykora. The photo is labeled the same except for Barbara who is identified as Kate O'Day Braun.
