Allan Jay Baer, 84, of Clarksville, MD, died March 1, 2014. Born April 26, 1929, in Meyersdale, PA, the son of the late George and Mary (Keefer) Baer. Also preceded in death by brothers Leo and Otis and sisters Hilda and Mary Ada. Survived by brother Glenn H. Baer of Seaford, DE and nephews and spouses - Wayne and Jane, Donald and Christine, Gary and Susan, James and Sally, and numerous grand/great - nieces/nephews. A graduate of Meyersdale High School and the Johns Hopkins University ( Baltimore). A U.S. Army veteran serving in the states during the Korean War. Worked for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company in Baltimore MD, retiring from the Real Estate Department (CSX). Active member and Membership Chairperson of RABO (Retired Administrators of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company). Friends will be received on Monday, March 10, 2014, at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, from 10 AM to Noon, where service will be conducted at Noon, officiated by Rev. Harold Garlick and Rev. Gary Baer. Interment will be at Reformed Cemetery, Meyersdale. Amity United Church of Christ will host a luncheon for family and friends following the services.
