Timber and Killed
Webster, March 1- Helen Bechler, aged 4, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bechler, who live a mile and a half north of the Everett store, was crushed to death last evening by a ten inch log falling upon her. The accident occurred at her home. The child lived but fifteen minutes.
Mr. Bechler had been hauling logs and had left a pile of them in the yard, near where the little girl chanced to be playing. Suddenly a scream was heard and her mother and sister, running out of the house, found the heavy timber lying across the lower part of her body. The log was taken off and the child carried inside, but she was so badly hurt as to be past help.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday. The parents have the deep condolence of all in their sudden bereavement..
