Harry became ill in early July 1921 while he was in San Francisco. His doctor suggested he go to Chicago where his parents were. Harry made the journey, stopping in his hometown of Salt Lake City.
His condition worsened after getting to Chicago, and Harry died at the Presbyterian Hospital there on August 7, 1921. He was twenty-seven years old.
