PETERSBURG - Dale H. Backs, 58, of Bloomington, formerly of Petersburg, died at 2:41 a.m. Thursday at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hurley Funeral Home, Petersburg. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Ellen, one daughter, Mrs. Lisa Roesch of Clinton; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Backs of Petersburg; four brothers, Kent and Tommy, both of Petersburg; Roger of Mount Zion and Terry of Idaho; one sister, Mrs. Roberta Whitley of Petersburg, one granddaughter.
