Albert served as a Staff Sergeant & Right Waist Gunner on B-24H #42-7722, 714th Bomber Squadron, 448th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Logan County, Oklahoma prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on October 31, 1942 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a mechanic and also as Married.

Albert was declared "Missing In Action" when his B-24 was shot down and crashed in Germany during the war.

He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
