Rita L. Baca, 88 of Fort Sumner, NM passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX.
Rita Lopez Baca was born June 14, 1928 in Los Ojitos, NM to the home of Adolfo and Regina Lopez.
She grew up on the Best Ranch north of Lake Sumner. Rita was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husbands Adan Baca and Apolonio Lopez, two sisters Lorraine Pacheco and Deluvinia Garcia-Lopez.
Rita is survived by two sons Fred Lopez and wife Sara of Albuquerque, and Gabriel Baca of Fort Sumner, three brothers Jose Lopez of Belen, Sam Lopez of Santa Rosa, Boni Lopez of Albuquerque, three sisters Celia Martinez of Fort Sumner, Lucy Gonzales of Albuquerque, and Lydia Moreno of Lubbock, two grandchildren Mark Lopez and Cheryl Trujillo both of Albuquerque along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
