Adelaide Babcock, 90, of 22 Meadow Lane, Polk Center, Meadowside Building, died peacefully with her loved ones by her side, at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

Born March 14, 1920 in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late Ira L. and Carrie H. Robinson Babcock.

Adelaide was of Protestant Faith. She enjoyed her job in VRS at Polk Center, beadwork, shopping and writing in her books.

She enjoyed visits and attention from all her friends, especially from her very favorite friends, Lynnette, Bea, and Craig. Adelaide loved being called, "Momma".

Adelaide was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service for Adelaide will be held on Thursday, December 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Meadowside Building at Polk Center. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.

The Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, handled the arrangements.
