Another Pioneer Gone

Mr. I. N. Babcock of Lone Star died in Auburn, Wednesday morning. He was taken seriously ill about two weeks ago and had been brought to Auburn to be nearer medical aid. Mr. Babcock was an old pioneer, having come to California in '49. For a number of years he was a resident of Sacramento County and kept the toll house there. He has resided in this county upwards of 20 years and is well known in this part of the state.

Deceased leaves a wife and daughter, Mrs. T. P. Cannon, and five stepsons and stepdaughters, Viz. Mrs. L. J. Dickson and L. W. Leak of Auburn, Mrs. Ellen Foley and Mrs. Libbie Womble of Sacramento, and J. H. Leak, late of Auburn, now of Sacramento, to mourn his loss. He was aged 63 years, 11 months, and 7 days. The funeral was held Thursday at 10 o'clock AM from the M. E. Church.
