CAMERON – Funeral services for Marietta Boyd Angell, 92, of Cameron, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2001, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Jim Lafferty and Rev. Glynn Cummings officiating. Burial followed in the Walkers Creek Cemetery. She died Friday, July 27, 2001, in a Rockdale hospital.

Mrs. Angell, a retired teacher from the Gause and Splawn communities, was born Nov. 11, 1908, in Milam County to L.C. and Mary Vaughn Boyd. She attended Mary Hardin Baylor after graduation from high school.

Mrs. Angell and her husband, O.C. Angell, were co-founders of Milam Grain Company in Cameron. She was a member of the Little River Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966 and a daughter, Etta Mae.

Survivors are two sons, Gene Angell and wife Mary and Ferroll Angell and wife Betty, all of Cameron; a daughter, Faye Gwartney and husband Roger of Mesquite; eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
