Jazz Musician. Saxophonist and occasional bagpiper. Pioneer in the field of free jazz. Committed suicide by jumping off New York City's Statue of Liberty ferry as it neared Liberty Island; body found floating in the East River, at the foot of Congress Street Pier.

Trane is the Father, Pharoah the Son but Albert Ayler is the Holy Ghost. He and his music changed the world...but sadly he didn't live to see it. Strange circumstances behind his death. His music echos across the cosmos forever. RIP
