She was the daughter of Paul and Freda (Reusch) Ballinger. On Feb 15, 1951, she married Charles H. Ayers, who survives in Celina.
Also surviving are two sons: Charles D., Coldwater, and Craig M. (Robin), Atlanta, GA; two daughters: Elise M. (William) Schwartzwalder, Columbus, and Mary E. (Robert) Testoff, Highland, MD; nine grandchildren: Devon Schwartzwalder, Joseph Schwartzwalder, Kara Ayers, Bret Ayers, Allison Ayers, Nicole Ayers, Alexander Testoff, Thomas Testoff and Addison Testoff; and four great-grandchildren: Emma Ayers, Paige Ayers, Mason Ayers and Lauren Rose Ayers.
Deceased is a daughter-in-law, Rosie Ayers.
She loved playing tennis, golf, bridge and fishing. She was a secretary at New Idea, Coldwater, and for the Mercer County Probate Court. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, president of the Ladies of the Elks and a 1949 graduate of Coldwater High School.
Services are at Immaculate Conception Church, Celina, with the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating.
