Services were May 17 at the Porter Funeral Home, North Salem, for Forest Jewel Ayers, age 71, North Salem, who died May 14 at the Witham Hospital, Lebanon. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery. Born June 13, 1920 in Lizton, he was a son of Henry Allen and Ocie (Coombs) Ayers. He attended school at Lizton. On September 30, 1972 he married Lu Ellen Blaydes, who preceded March 20, 1988. Mr. Ayers had been a farmer; worked for the Indiana State Highway; was custodian at Tri-West; and was Democrat precinct committeeman for Eel River Township. He was a membr of the Lizton K. of P. Lodge. Survivors are a sister, Dorothy Cloncs of Danville; two nieces and five nephews.
