Mrs. Hortense Avery, 82, of 209 Lake Shore Dr., died yesterday in the Wesley hospital. Mrs. Avery, the former Hortense Leonore Wisner, was born in Pontiac, Mich. She was married to Sewell L. Avery in 1899. Surviving are the husband; two daughters; Mrs. Rogers (Nancy) Follansbee, Evanston, and Mrs. W. Benton (Arla) McMillan, St. Louis; two sisters; Mrs. Clinton (Mary) McGee and Mrs. F. L. (Marguerite) Ward, both of Pontiac.

NOTE: Predeceased by daughter, Lenore, in 1906.
