HATTERAS - Dezzie Austin, 89, died Thursday, Feb. 12, at her residence. Miss Austin was born in Hatteras and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Hatteras United Methodist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Robert Styron Austin and the late Alice Wade Austin.
She is survived by one sister, Victoria Austin of Hatteras.
A graveside service was to be held Feb. 14 at the Austin Family Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Jim Huskins. Twiford's Island Chapel, Hatteras is in charge of these arrangements.
