Shortly after their marriage, Albert brought Anna 300 miles to his homestead by horse and buggy. They lived on the homestead near Roseglen, until 1910. They moved to Enderlin where Albert worked for the Railroad. Later, he worked as a carpenter. In 1916, they moved back to the Roseglen area where they lived until they retired. Together, they had five children: Erwin, Louise, Helen, Alvin and Milton. In 1928, Albert built them a new house and they lived in it until they moved into Garrison, upon their retirement.
