Barbara A. Auringer, 77, formerly of West Monroe, died Thursday at the Francis House in Syracuse. Born in Syracuse, she lived most of her life in Brewerton and West Monroe. Mrs. Auringer was owner/proprietor with her late husband Elmer of the Elmers Grocery in West Monroe. She was predeceased by her husband Elmer and a son David Mark.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Ditro and Kathleen Bisbo, both of West Monroe; four sons, Richard and Robert, both of West Monroe, Ronald of Atlanta, Ga., and Raymond of Liverpool; a sister Leta Schafer of Brewerton; a brother, Morris Sadler of West Amboy; 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday, April 18, 2005, at 10 a.m. at the Watson Funeral Home Inc., 631 S. Main St., Central Square, with burial in West Monroe Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, April 17, 2005, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Barbara's contributions wishes, in lieu of flowers, are to be made to the Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
