Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Attema, 75, who died Thursday morning, September 24, at her home in Rock Valley were held Saturday, September 26, at 2 p.m. in the Rock Valley First Reformed church with Rev. Christian Huissen officiating.
Burial was in Valley View cemetery under the direction of the Porter Funeral Home.
Mrs. Attema was born May 7, 1889 in the Netherlands and had lived in the Rock Valley vicinity most of her life.
Survivors are the widower, Pier; five sons, Gerrit, Jake and Art, all of Rock Valley, Tony of Denver, Colo., and Lane of Sioux City; two daughters, Ann, at home, and Mrs. Levi Rasmussen of Sioux City; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
