She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on November 3, 1917, the daughter of Frederick and Hazel [ Jones ] Atkinson, where she attended local schools. Helen was well known for her crocheting and beadwork, and for making outfits for Barbie Dolls. She always enjoyed being with her family, especially the great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Frederick Pollow, who died October 23, 1968.
Survivors include a daughter, Paulajo [ Alfred ] Hunt, of Lewiston; daughter-in-law, Charmayne [ late James, Sr. ] Pollow, of Youngstown, NY; sisters, Doris Bonnett, of GA, Violet " Peg " [ Joseph ] Feyrer, of Depew; grandchildren, Kellie [ late Michael ] Bevilacqua, James [ Richelle ] Pollow, Jr., Steven [ Danielle ] Pollow, Kim [ John ] Hartman, Chad [ Stacey ] Zahradnik; great grandchildren, Brandon Reno, Krystle Pollow, Jeremy Pollow, Jacob Church, Johnathon Hartman, Jonathon Hartman, Aimee Burns, great-great grandchildren, Anthony Pollow, Megan Zahradnik; and several nieces and nephews.
