Born Jan. 15, 1931 in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Eleanor Atherholt. She was a graduate of GAR High School, Class of 1949, and later married William H. Mosley II. She was an active member in the First Primitive Methodist Church of Wilkes-Barre, before moving to Liverpool, N.Y.
Phyllis's greatest joy in life aside from her family was singing in the church choir, at weddings and any event in which family and friends gathered. Her voice was not only a gift for her, but for everyone who ever listened to her.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, William H. II; son, George A. Mosley; grandson, Jason P. Mosley; brothers, George, Roy and William Warren; a sister, Lois George.
Surviving are her sons, William H. III and his wife, Nancy Mosley of Liverpool, N.Y., Paul D. and his wife, Kim Mosley of Amherst, N.H.; sisters, Magel Fesel, Eleanor Bromfield, Mildred Davis and Nancy Kachurak; grandchildren, William IV, Cassandra, Zachary and Jake; great-grandchildren, William V, Jason Dane and Allysia.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, 420 Wyoming Ave, Kingston, with the Rev. James Sienkiewicz, Pastor of the Cherry Street Bible Church, of Plymouth, officiating.
Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Wyoming. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
