Mr. Jack Allen Aspinwall, 89 of Offerman, passed away late Wednesday night, December 9, 2015, at his residence.
A native of Pierce County, he was a member of the Offerman Baptist Church. He worked for the former ACL Railroad, Seaboard Coastline Railroad and retired from CSX Transportation after 44 years of service and was a volunteer firefighter for the city of Offerman.
He was a son of the late Thomas & Mamie Lee Daniels Aspinwall. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Frances Walker.
He leaves behind his wife of 69 ½ years, Geneva Sears Aspinwall of Offerman; 3 children, Jackie (Bill) Yawn of Bloomingdale, Michael (Barbara) Aspinwall of Meldrin, GA & Heather (Kris) Boyett of Hoboken; a sister, Tammi Lee (Eugene) Mobly of Blakely, GA; 3 grandchildren, Bobby Howard, Teresa Odums, & Michelle Aspinwall; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Aspinwall will be held at 2:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon, December 12, 2015, at the Offerman Baptist Church.
Interment will be in the Offerman Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
The family kindly requests men of Offerman Baptist Church to serve as honorary pallbearers. Please meet at the church by 1:30 Saturday.
