Leon E. Ashley, 72. died suddenly at 1:30 p. in. Tuesday on a farm he owned near Garber, He had been at work on a water trough, breaking ice.
Mr. Ashley was born Dec. 10, 1874, at Tonica.
In 1904, he married Miss Elisabeth Nierstheimer at Sibley, and they farmed near Sibley until her death, March 14, 145. Later he moved to Gibson City.
He Is survived by two sons, Clyde J. , and Francis; one daughter,. Cora Glascock; a sister, Edith Ferris; and eight grand children.
