Jean Roslyn "Hubba Hubba Momma" Ashbaugh, age 81, of Marysville died. She was born to Leo and Elise (Merland) Holberg. Jean was a military wife traveling overseas with her husband and children. She was a member of C.P.O. wives club and team mother and scorekeeper for Little League through American Legion. Many boys in baseball with remember her "Hubba Hubba" to cheer them on. Jean served in the United States Air Force during WWII as a Sergeant. After her honorable discharge Jean worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" for Boeing.&pe&Jean is survived by her husband of 43 years, George; son Victor and wife Heather Ashbaugh of Port Orchard; daughters, Sharon McClure of Portland, OR, and Elisa and husband Daryl Eby of Arlington; sisters, Ruth Belcher of 29 Palms, CA, and Pat and husband Frank Kaatz of Chatsworth, CA; grandchildren, V.J. and Garrett Ashbaugh, Richard McClure, James McClure, Cory and Tory Tune, Demari and Angela Tune, Kyle and Chelsea Eby; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.&pe&Jean was preceded in death by her parents; sister Alice; brother Robert; and granddaughter Rosetta.&pe&A private memorial service was held at a later date.&pe&Arrangements were under the direction of Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home.&pe&Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society or your favorite charity in her name.
