Bettye Jean Arvin, 50, Antioch Road, was killed when flames engulfed her frame and brick veneer house about 8:20 a.m. Sunday.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hughart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bob Lowery officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gradens. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
A native of Christian County, Mrs. Arvin was born Dec. 23, 1932, the daughter of Lackey and Joicy White Aldridge, Christian County, Woodmen of the World, and the Homemakers Club.
She was self-employed in monument sales and was a former co-owner of Betty Jo Gifts & Gallery. She also had been a former manger for Thrify Dress Shop.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband, Franklin Arvin and two sons, Larry Ronald of Hopkinsville, and Barry Donald Arvin, Augusta, Ga., one daughter, Debby Uchiyama, Fairfield, Calif.; one sister, Wanda Faye Buson, Christian County, and two grandchildren.
