Born in Canada on June 7, 1920, son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Losier) Arsenault, he had lived in Windsor since 1961. Before retiring, he was employed by Sheet Metal Worker's Union Local # 40 of Rocky Hill for many years.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Arsenault was a member of Windsor Lodge of Elks, 2060, where he was a past Elk of the Year and served on the House Committee. He was a lifetime member of the Franco American War Veterans and was a communicant of St. Gertrude Church, Windsor.
He is survived by his children, Leo and his wife, Debbie Arsenault of Windsor, George and his wife, Arlene Arsenault of Windsor, Louise Arsenault, Lorraine DeSimone of Somers, Donald Arsenault of East Windsor and Claire and her husband, Samuel Cashwell of Windsor; a brother and his wife, Steven and Marilyn Arsenault in Washington State; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by a son, Raymond Arsenault.
Family and friends may gather Friday, 9:15 a.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in St. Gertrude Church. Burial with Military Honors will be in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery. His family will receive friends, TODAY, 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be an Elks Ritual Service, 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Research Parkway, Meriden, 06450.
