Cowpens, SC - - Ralph Arrowood, 84, of 1927 Bonner Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born in Cowpens, he was the widower of the late Inez Wyatt Arrowood and son of the late George Arrowood and Maude Mathis Arrowood. Mr. Arrowood was a retired truck driver and was formerly employed by Browns Packing. He was a U. S. Army and U. S. Air Force veteran, loved gardening and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Diane Yelton and husband, Raymond and Kathy Perrine and husband, Robert, all of Gaffney; a son, Steve Arrowood and wife, Donna of Boiling Springs, SC; two sisters, Guyneta Henderson and husband, Walter of Gaffney and Lois Lattimore of Chesnee; seven grandchildren, Cassandra Peery and husband, Greg, Catrina Solmon, Robbie Perrine and wife, Katie, Beth Ellis and husband, Stephen, Steven Arrowood, Jake Arrowood and Kara Rogers and husband, Mark; six great-grandchildren. Mr. Arrowood was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Crestview Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM at the Church with Rev. Rick Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the Crestview Baptist Church Cemetery.
