Mr. Donald Mike Arrant Sr., age 64, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014. He was born August 12, 1950 in Starke, Florida to John William Arrant and Willie Nell Sowell Arrant.

Mr. Arrant was a resident of Walton County, FL. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Gaskin First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country for 20 years before retiring as Sargent First Class. He worked in management in Food Service for many years. He enjoyed golfing, and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was always willing to help others.
Mr. Arrant is preceded in death by his parents John William Arrant and Willie Nell Sowell Arrant; brother Billy Arrant; two sisters Joy Nell Andrews and Shelby Jean Arrant; and one brother in law Chuck Sims.

Mr. Arrant is survived by his wife of forty-five years Glenda Sims Arrant, of Gaskin, Florida; one son Donald Mike Arrant Jr. and wife Rebecca of Cold Spring, New York; one daughter Adrienne Michele Huestis and husband William J. (Bill) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one brother Charlie L. Arrant and wife Rhonda of Cantonment, Florida; sister in laws Debbie Sims and Cheryl Alberson and husband Joe; grandchildren Forrest Paul Huestis, Skyler Nicole Huestis and Meadow Rose Huestis; Mr. Arrant is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation services will be held 10:00~11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Gaskin First Baptist Church, 107 County Highway 181 East, Westville, Florida, 32464.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Gaskin First Baptist Church, with Reverend Jonathan Daniel officiating.

Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Leonia with military honors.

Pallbearers will be Chad Arrant, Eddie Alberson, Joe Alberson, Greg Burgess, Kenneth Pridgen and Bobby Collinsworth. Honorary Pallbearers will be the men of Gaskin First Baptist Church.

Floral arrangements are being accepted or donations may be made to the Gaskin First Baptist Church Building Fund.
