Amos Arnold married Susan (Shneb or Shrieb) on April 22, 1855 in Kosciusko County, Indiana.

Amos Arnold, aged 69 years, died of consumption at 8:15 Wednesday evening of last week at his home in Goshen. He had been bedfast about three months. He was born in Ohio on November 13, 1833. Mr. Arnold lived in this vicinity for a number of years but moved with his family to Goshen last April. He leaves besides his wife, Susanna, eight children, six sons and two daughters.

The remains were brought to the place last Saturday morning on the 10:46 train.

The funeral services were held at Gospel Hill Church, 3 miles North east of town, interment in cemetery near by. Rev. W. G. Parker of Goshen conducted the services.
