I've spent numerous hours researching this family and am almost 99/9%) certain the maiden name for Annie Arnold to be Portress, not Hawkins. It was Nelly Hawkins b. 1777 who was married to Levi Arnold b. 1775. They were the parents of Levi Woodbury Arnold. Rev. Levi Woodbury Arnold, married to Arianna, had ten children. I've been able to locate the following death certificates which shows-William Allison Durant Arnold, mother Arie Ann Portress; Mary E. Arnold-Seaborn, mother Ann Portress; Anna Ellen Arnold-Williams, mother Ara Ann Portress; Henry Allen Arnold, mother Ann Portress; there are no parents listed on Newton David Arnold's DC and I'm still checking the others. Now as to the correct spelling of her given name, I don't yet know for sure.
