DIED - ANDORFER - At his home, 127 South street, this city, at 1:10 a.m., Sunday, August 17, 1913, Mr. Frank Arndorfer, of Bright's disease, aged 59 years, 1 month and 29 days.
The deceased was born at Kohler, Washington county, Wis., on June 24th, 1854, and was a son of Frank Arndorfer and Anna Stahl. When fifteen years of age he moved with his parents to a farm in the town of Beaver Dam, where he continued to reside for a number of years. On June 22, 1875, he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Rosenmeyer [sic] of this vicinity in this city, she having preceding him in death on January 24th, 1911.
He continued to reside in this vicinity for five years following his marriage, when he removed to St. Benedict, Iowa, where he made his home on a farm near that city for twenty-four years, returning to this city to spend his reclining years in retirement, about seven years ago.
He was the father of eleven children, all of whom survive him. They are Mrs. P. J. Grenier, Wesley, Ia.; Sister M. Gabriel, Denver, Colo.; Sister M. Elizabeth, Fond du Lac, Wis.; Joseph Arndorfer, Dell Rapids, S.D.; Frank Arndorfer, Milwaukee, Wis.; and William, Veronia, Raymond, Arthur and Ottilia, of this city, all of whom were present at the funeral. He is also survived by three sisters and three brothers -- Mrs. Anna Caspari and Mrs. Anton Gergen, of this city; Mrs. Joseph Rahn, Algoma, Ia., and William, Charles and Joseph of St. Benedict, Ia.
The funeral services were held at St. Peter's church, at nine o'clock Wednesday morning; solemn requiem mass was read by the Rev. Frs. Muenzer and Nellen of this city and Rev. Fr. Velte of Lost Lake. Burial was in St. Peter's cemetery.
