Dorothy Sorrells Armstrong, 89, of Lexington died Friday, April 14, 2017.
She was the daughter of James Thomas Sorrells and Cora Irvine Sorrells, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Lee Armstrong.
Dorothy was a life-long member of Poplar Hill Presbyterian Church, where she also served as an Elder.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria A. O'Donnell and her husband Barry; son Hubert J. Armstrong, and wife Nadine; and her grandchildren: Jason O'Donnell, David O'Donnell, and wife Shannon, Nathan Armstrong, and wife Misty, and Lisa Keesee, and husband Abbott; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday April 18 , 2017 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Benjamin W. Dowling III officiating.
Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
