Mrs. Armstrong, 79, of Hineston, entered eternal rest on Friday, May 13, 2011 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria.
Betty was well known in her community for her cooking and the love and care she showed so many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Armstrong and her brothers
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her very special friend, Harlis Wright of Hineston; two step-daughters, Patricia McCarty of St. Joe and Janice Miller and her husband, Russell of Elmer; one sister, Ann Burlew of Kirbyville, Texas; four grandchildren, Michael Miller and his wife, Lori of Hineston, Chad McCarty and his wife, Christy of Monroe, Chelle Stokes and her husband, Scotty of Calcasieu and Rusty Miller and his wife, Deidre of Elmer and eight great grandchildren, Caleb, Cody, Lexie, Cole, Wyatt, Cade, Colby and Lawson.
Services were under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Hineston
