Maria was born to Jose Nativida and Maria Christina Arguello, she was one of eight children. She married her husband on July 9, 1947, and moved to Wyoming, they settled in the small town of Wamsutter, she formed a sewing/craft club where projects like afghans, doilies, decorative pillows.
She loved to travel even if it was just 10 miles or 2000 miles to see different places and things. She also volunteered with voters registration and documentation of school vaccinations.
She participated in designing and sewing cheer leading outfits and chaperoning cheerleaders.
They raised two daughters, and four Grandchildren and six Great grandchildren survive her.
When her husband retired in 1987 the family moved to Rapid City, SD where they enjoyed the Black Hills and spending time with family.
