Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Pharaoh Avins and Maude McLeod Avins.
Mrs. Ardis attended Alice Drive Baptist Church and was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene. She retired from Korn Industries after 35 years of faithful employment.
Surviving are four sons; two daughters; one brother; two sisters; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Ardis officiating.
