"Mrs. Louis J. Arceneaux, nee Amelia Arceneaux, aged 72 years and eight months, died last Tuesday Morning at her home near Carencro. Deceased was a native of this parish, relic of the late Louis J. Arceneaux and the mother of eleven children, all of whom survive, Misses Alicia, Bathilde, Josette and Celeste, and Messrs. Alexander, Pierre, Joseph, Bienvenu, Emile, Emmilien and Dr. L. B. Arceneaux. She was a faithful wife, a kind mother and a devout Catholic, being a member of St. Ann's Society and St. Peters Church.
The remains were interred at Carencro Wednesday morning and the funeral was largely attended by relatives and friends.
