Charles was born August 20, 1926 in Yale, MI a son of Charles Lee and Anna May (Warner) Apsey. In 1948 he married Betty Lane Delay. She preceded him in death in 2009. Charles was a member of the Teamster's Union. He was also a combat veteran during W.W.II where he was a recipient of the Purple Heart award. He enjoyed traveling the United States and spending time with his family. Prior to his retirement in 1992 he had been employed by Autolite as a truck driver for many years.
Charles is survived by his children, Charles Lee (Rae-Ann) Apsey IV of Houghton Lake, MI, Nancy Jo Kouchekey of Palo Alto, CA, Heidi Annette Apsey of Scottsdale, AZ and Curtis Anthony Apsey of Port Huron, MI; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; daughter, Linda; brothers, Lester (Minnie), Max, Robert (Jenny) Apsey; and sisters, Wanda (Don) Dietrich, and Margaret and Bernice Apsey.
