Margaret Ann Thompson, 56, of Pine Bluff, died January 3, 1998, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born December 7, 1941, at Pine Bluff, she was a daughter of Zola Idel Clement Appling of Pine Bluff and the late Joseph Earl Appling.
She was raised and educated in Grapevine and graduated from Grapevine High School. She worked as a licenced practical nurse for Dr. Clyde Tracy for more than 20 years. She recently worked as the public relations administrator for the Area Agency on Aging. She was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church.
Other survivors include her husband, Victor H. Thompson, whom she married on December 23, 1959, at Pine Bluff; a son, Doug Thompson of Conway; a daughter, Karen Thompson of West Memphis; a brother, Joseph Appling of Pine Bluff; and two sisters, Betty Webb of Monticello and Florence Minchew of Pine Bluff.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. today at the chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with the Revs. Howard Loetcher and Donald Lee Ruffin officiating. Burial will be in Clement Cemetery near Grapevine.
