Andrew Apple was among the first settlers of Batavia Township. He immigrated from Pennsylvania some time previous to 1798 and located on a fine tract of land of 2100 acres at and near the present hamlit of Olive Branch. Andrew Apple reared a family of eleven children, giving to each , as they grew to mature years, 150 acres of land in the Olive Branch neighborhood.
Andrews parents were Wilheim Apfel which to us is William Apple b. 1713 in the Palantate of Bavaria (became Germany in 1850) and he married Anna Marie Saltsberger. He died in Berks Co., PA before 1774 and she also in Berks Co., Pa in 1797.
