Mr. Anthers Dies at Home In Grammer
Henry L. Anthers, 81, salesman for the American Agricultural Chemical company, died Sunday at his home in Grammer.
Born in Bartholomew county Aug. 21, 1885, he was the son of Charles and Rachael Mitchell Anthers. He married the former Golda Daily Sept. 25, 1913. Mr. Anthers was a member of the Grammer Presbyterian church and the Columbus Odd Fellows lodge. He was a 50-year member of both the Alert Masonic lodge and the Grammer Red Men's lodge.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hathaway funeral home conducted by Dr. William R. Laws and the Rev. James Martin. Burial will be at Garland Brook cemetery. Persons may call after 7 o'clock tonight at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be at 8 o'clock tonight at the funeral home.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Warren Anthers of North Vernon, and two grandchildren, Stephen and Kathleen Anthers. He was preceded in death by two sisters, a son and a brother.
