Lucille (Bellantuono) Annis, 64, of Chapin Avenue, Rocky Hill, wife of Eric Annis, passed peacefully away Friday morning (May 30, 2008), at home after a long illness. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Domenico and the late Maddelena (Ruggiero) Bellantuono, she graduated from New Britain High School in 1962, married and raised her two daughters in Kensington, has lived in Rocky Hill since 1988 with her husband Eric Annis, and retired from Loctite Corporation in Rocky Hill. A member of St. Ann Church, Lucille, (also known as Lou to her family and friends) will be remembered as a woman with great faith, boundless love and devotion to her family, kindness and gentleness, and as one who always wanted to help anyone she could. She loved her family and cared for them at time of need throughout the years, and was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two devoted daughters and sons-in-law, Annette and Robert N. Brown Jr. of Kensington, and Paula and Robin Cote of Wethersfield, four beloved grandchildren, Collin and Allison Brown, and Nicholas and Alyssa Cote, whom she was so proud of and loved with all of her heart, numerous extended family members and friends including her cherished childhood friends, Marie and David Zielinski, and her godchildren, David John and Tracy Zielinski, all of New Britain. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Kensington, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church, North Street, New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Friends and are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to in care of the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center, c/oHartford Hospital, P.O. Box 5037, Hartford, CT 06101, attention: Fund Development, or to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, 255 Pitkin Street, East Hartford, CT 06108. The family sincerely thanks the Vitas Hospice staff for all of the compassionate care they gave Lucille.
