Bertha Annett Kinworthy, 88, of Grand Prairie, formerly of Chicota, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at Presbyterian Hospital in Kaufman. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, in the Chicota Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Heath and the Rev. Bill Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home, which has charge of arrangements. Mrs. Kinworthy was born March 19, 1913, in Spencerville, Okla., to William Perry and Bertha Florence Massey Annett. She graduated from Chicota schools and married Jack Kinworthy on Nov. 3, 1933. He died Dec. 6, 1976. Mrs. Kinworthy was a homemaker and member of the Chicota Baptist Church. Mrs. Kinworthy is survived by two daughters, Juanell Cass and husband Malcolm of Mabank and Maurice Brown and husband Charles of Grand Prairie; one grandson, Chris Brown of Mesquite; two sisters-in-law, Jessie Marie Annett of Chicota and Frances Ashford of Powderly; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by 18 brothers and sisters. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Brown, Elmer Sipes, Larry Sipes, Tonie Moore, Roger Armstrong and Stacy Armstrong.
