Port Barre ~ Funeral services will be held Monday, August 19, 2013 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Adolph Andrus, Jr., age 81, who passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 8:45 a.m. at his residence in Port Barre.
Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Picard, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Mr. Andrus was a native and current resident of Port Barre and lived most of his life in St. Bernard Parish. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum with 30 years of service. Mr. Andrus' hobbies included trawling and hunting.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home by Rev. Daniel Picard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Monday.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Southern Care Hospice.
