Mrs. Jean Gervais Andrews, age 81, of Boomer, widow of Curtis Clifton Andrews passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Camelot Manor Nursing & Rehab in Granite Falls. She lived in Carrboro from 2005 until 2011.
Funeral services will be held 3:00, Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Little Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Livingston and Pastor Daniel Buchanan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive at Little Rock Baptist Church from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
Mrs. Andrews was born in Watauga County on June 26, 1931, to Clarence and Edna Price Gervais. She was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church. Mrs. Andrews worked at Fairfield Chair and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Gervais and Clarence Gervais; a sister, Lois Rock, and a grandson, Adam Wyke.
Mrs. Andrews is survived by two daughters, Kathy Wyke and husband, Roger of Hudson and Carolyn Atkins and husband, David of Carrboro; one sister, Margaret Phillips of North Wilkesboro; one brother, Robert Gervais of Sawmills; four grandchildren, April Jenkins, Christy Wyke Conner, Ben Walsh, Megan Squires; nine great grandchildren, Taylor Walsh, Benjamin Walsh, Julia Jenkins, Dustin Jenkins, Madison Conner, Samuel Conner, Dyllan Wyke, Sarah Wyke, Jordon Wyke.
