Marie Andrews Pittman, 81, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2013, at Lifecare Hospital after a brief illness. Graveside service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, at Forest Park Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Martin, Rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Mrs. Pittman was a native of Jackson, Tennessee and a resident of Shreveport for 81 years. She was a 1949 graduate of C.E. Byrd High School, attended Centenary College and was a member of ZTA Sorority. Mrs. Pittman was preceded in death by her husband, Sam S. Pittman III. She is survived by her daughter, Liz Pittman Hott; and grandson, Dakota Lawrence Hott. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Joe Austin, Glenn Gates, Sharon and Larry Hott and Dr. Jane Jenab for their support during this difficult time
