Mrs. Childress died on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at a local hospital. She was born November 27, 1952, in Greensboro, North Carolina to Andy and June Taylor Andrews. She attended school in Houston, Texas, and moved to Ada in 1993 from Coalgate. She worked in an insurance agency office, for Pre-Paid Legal Services and later at Valley View Regional Hospital Purchasing Department. She married George Childress on September 26, 1992, in Coalgate. Survivors include her husband, George Childress, of the home; four sons, Daniel Childress, Ft. Worth, Texas; Daryl Reininger and wife Evan, Edmond; Russell Childress and wife Stefanie, McAlester; and Jared Reininger, Ada; one granddaughter, Logan Hannah Reininger; and one sister, GeorgeAnn Gassaway, Corpus Christi, Texas. Bearers are Rick Harris, Mark Gassaway, Eric Gassaway, John May, Marc May and Sean Childress. Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Chapel, Rev. Wally Weaver officiating. Burial follows at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Criswell Funeral Home.
