Elizabeth "Betty" Inez Garriott Andrew, 70, of Bedford, Ky., died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
She was born March 6, 1941, in Louisville, Ky., the daughter of Louis Barclay Sr. and Dorothy Hancock Garriott. She worked for a few years as nutritionist for the Trimble County Extension Office. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Wise's Landing. She enjoyed singing, raising flowers, her farm and driving fast.
She is survived by her husband, Dudley Worth Andrew; six children, Allyson Maryaj Arnett of Milton, Ky., Aric Matthew Andrew of Louisville, Ky., Aaron Marcus Andrew of Dayton, Ohio, Audre Miriam Daniels of Glen Ellyn, Ill., Averey Martin Andrew of Bedford, Ky., and Amy Maxine Pyles of Bedford, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Louis B. Garriott Jr.; and one granddaughter.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, Ky. No graveside service will be held.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service.
