Harvey Anderson, 76, died Monday (Jan. 9, 2006) at his residence in Newton.
He was born May 16, 1929, to Nathaniel Clark and Viola Mae (Kratzer) Anderson in Newton.

He graduated from Newton High School in 1947, after which he joined the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. He also attended Bethel College for a short time. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Denver in 1972 and went on to sell real estate and obtain his broker's license. He was a born again Christian and a faithful member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ.

Survivors (Private)

He also was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Shalom Mennonite Church with Pastor Larry Lee officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials have been established with Victory in the Valley and Harry Hynes Hospice of Wichita, both in care of the funeral home.
