Genevieve was born October 23, 1922 on Oil Ridge, Tyler County, WV, the daughter of the late Shannon and Elizabeth Billiter Anderson.
She was an employee of the former Paden City Pottery, homemaker and member of the Paden City Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Olen Burl Carney (2006); three brothers, Chester Anderson, Ray Anderson and Harry Anderson and a sister, Virginia Anderson Kerns.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis (Judy) Carney and Danny (Stacey) Carney both of Paden City, WV; sister, Ethel Gist of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren, Shawna (Ken) Carney Madison, Christina (Wayne) Carney Koerber and Michael Carney; two great grandchildren, Ashlyn Koerber and Tyler Madison and several nieces, nephews and cousins from Ohio.
Friends were received 2-4 and 6-8 Monday, April 30, 2012 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes, Paden City, WV where service were held 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
