Alta Lealette Anderson was the 9th child born to James Peter (T) Anderson and Martha Caroline Thomander, on 21 Jul 1905 in Spring Glen, Utah. She was known to us simply as "aunt Lea".

Lea married Vasco Laub 6 Jun 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had the following children: Dale Jay, Melvin, and Marvin.

Lea graduated from Ogden High School and received her B.S. degree in Humanities from Weber State College.

During WW2 she supported her husband and moved here and there as his military assignements changed. She lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Hawaii, Japan, New Zealand and Utah. She also presided over the LDS Relief Society in 5 Asian areas, Japan, Korea, Phillippines, Okinawa and Guam and served 6 LDS missions (3 stake missions and 3 full time missions).

Lea also spent her time doing genealogy research and was able to pull together many hundreds of names of her ancestors.

Finally at the age of 70, Lea passed away at the St. George Rest Home of natural causes on Tuesday, 25 May 1976 and was buried Friday 28 May.
